Greetings!

...in the name of our Lord, Master and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Spring always reminds me of ‘new beginnings.’ All the dead of winter is being given a renewed sense of vitality. We start seeing the brown turn to green. The skies and the trees are filled with the songs of God’s winged creations. The ground brings forth the bud and as the flower blooms, it yawns and stretches into the dawning of brighter days. Once again all of nature cries out "Glory to God!" as it awakens from the long winter nap that God prescribed. It is so easy to see how the beauty of the creation points back to the glory of the Creator.

Just as the creation is settling into its ‘new beginnings,’ the ministry of Mineral Baptist has some ‘new beginnings’ of its own this year. We’ve begun some serious studies in the Word of God, including the "Book of Ecclesiastes: Life Without God" and "The Life of Paul." Along side of these studies we’re looking forward to discovering and applying the true meaning of "worship," not only in our corporate gatherings, but also in our everyday lives as children of God. On tap as we continue through 2007, our outreach is "reaching out!" Listen to 97.1FM, "He’s Alive Radio" for devotionals and updates regarding the ministry of Mineral Baptist. Come join us and together let’s proclaim the grace and mercy of God our Father, through His Son Jesus Christ.

Exhortation

Romans 12:16 & 15:5

"Be of the same mind toward one another…."

The Bible has a lot to say about the "self-seeker" and Paul admonishes Christians to "not be wise in your own estimation" (Rom. 12:16). Why? Romans 15:5-6 has the answer: "Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." As one body, the Church’s main goal and focus is to be that of glorifying God, but this cannot be accomplished if it is racked with the dissention of self-seeking individuals.
